Career Planning & Job Shadowing
SCORE (Senior Career Observation and Research Experience) is a program offered to seniors that will focus on career exploration and research. Students who are interested in participating in SCORE must complete an application and meet the following criteria:
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- 80% or higher participation in UB meetings & events
- good attendance at school (no more than 5 unexcused days)
- demonstrated responsibility as observed by UB staff
- be working towards an Advanced Studies Diploma
SCORE will be offered to students either during the Summer Academy leading into Senior year OR during their Senior year.
- Students who participate in SCORE during the academic year must be able to secure their own transportation to their career observation site.
- Students who participate in SCORE during Summer Academy will have transportation provided.
As part of the SCORE program, students will have the opportunity to participate in mock interviews and a career readiness workshop! Students should apply during the spring semester of Junior year.
