VHCC Graduation Application
Spring 2025 – Graduation Application is open until April 11, 2025.
The Spring 2025 graduation application is available by logging into your MyVHCC account
- Click on “My Student Information” tile
- In the “Academic records and Progress” tile, click on “Apply for Graduation”
- Verify all information under personal information is correct. If you need to make changes, complete the Change of Information eForm available in your portal under resources.
- Click on yellow tab on the right that says “Proceed with Making Application.”
- Review Search Institution and Term box
- Select Institution: VH296
- Select Term: Spring 2025 (This is the only term available)
- Read “Graduation Instructions” section and select “Continue”
- Under the Academic Plan section select only the program(s) you are completing requirements for in Spring 2025. If your plan is not listed, do not finish or submit the application and contact Admissions and Records to update your plan(s) of study. You will be unable to make changes to your graduation application once submitted.
- Review your name under Diploma/Certificate Name section and make necessary changes. This is how your name will appear on your diploma.
- Answer applicable questions under Questionnaire portion.
- Review “Instructions for Submitting Your Application”
- Select “I Agree”
- Click “Submit”
AFTER YOU APPLY
You will be able to view any updates and notes regarding your application by logging into MyVHCC > My Student Information > View Graduation Application click on Academic Plan tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You may need to use the arrows next to "Find|View all" if you are graduating with multiple degrees/credentials.
Applied- Your application has been submitted. We have not yet reviewed your completion status.
Pending- We have reviewed your application and you are set to complete your program this semester as long as all requirements are met, and your courses are completed successfully at the end of the term.
Ineligible- We have reviewed your application and you are missing requirements, or you are not ready to complete your program. If you have questions, contact the Admissions and Records Office. If you do not meetgraduation requirements for the semester you apply, you will need to reapply during the semester requirements are met.
Approved- This will appear once all grades for the spring semester have posted. Your degree is ready to be conferred and awarded. This status will appear if all graduation requirements have been met. An approved application does not indicate you have been awarded your degree. You can run an unofficial transcript and scroll to the end of the transcript to see degrees and certificates awarded.
2. Please check your VHCC email often for any or questions the registrar may have regarding your graduation status.
3. If you have questions or concerns regarding your application, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Admissions and Records Office in ISC 128.
Additional information on meeting degree requirements can be found in the VHCC on-line catalog. Virginia Highlands holds one commencement ceremony in May of each year. You will be invited to participate via your VHCC email account. If your contact information changes, you will need to make updates through your student portal.
