Although, the default set up for Multi-Factor Authentication is the email Based One Time Password, you may choose anyone of several options. The two most popular are Temporary One Time Password (TOTP) and Receiving a Temporary One Time Code via Text Messaging (SMS). The instructions for these two methods follow. We also support other methods of Multi Factor Authentication.
Microsoft Authenticator TOTP Setup

If you already have the app skip to step 1
In either the Apple App Store or the Google play store search for "Microsoft Authenticator"
Or on your mobile device select one of these two stores.
Step 1
- Go to your desktop visit the portal. On the portal you will be presented with the login screens as usual.
- Enter your myVCCS username and click "Go"
- Then enter your password
- You will be presented with the TOTP setup screen with QR code.
Step 2
- Click on "+"
Step 3
- Select Personal Account
- Select "Scan QR Code"
Step 4
- After selecting "Scan Barcode" your camera will show a box on the screen.
- Center the camera "box" over the QR barcode and Microsoft Authenticator will automatically create a new item in your list of systems with the name "myVCCS"
Step 5: Final Step
- Enter code displayed on your Microsoft Authenticator App
