Find Your Path in Industrial Technology

Industrial Technology is the applied use of engineering and manufacturing technology to make production faster, simpler and more efficient. If you enjoy working with your hands and solving problems, careers within Industrial Technology may be for you.

Electrical Technology

Electrical Technology is designed for those pursuing a career as an electrician. Specifically, the program will prepare you for Virginia Tradesmen Certification at the Journeymen or Master level. We offer a variety of program pathway options. 

The three program pathway levels, with each level building upon the previous -- are eligible for G3 scholarship funding.

Energy

Our energy sector careers are for those who are interested in an energy focus within the field of electrical technology.   

We offer two pathways for those pursuing a career in energy-related fields. Those who complete the full Electrical Technology - Specialization in Energy will also receive a Solar Energy Certificate.  

Engineering

The Associate of Arts & Science degree program in Science - Specialization in Engineering is designed to provide the first two years of general engineering education common to most engineering majors at universities in the US. The engineering classes offered will prepare a student to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, which is the first test in the sequence to becoming a licensed professional engineer.

Industrial Electricity

The Industrial Electricity CSC certificate is designed for the career electrician desiring an educational credential to support their current work experience.  

If you'd like to work as an Industrial Electrician, our  Industrial Electricity CSC is the path for you.  This program is eligible for G3 scholarship funding. 

Mechatronics

Mechatronics involves the integration of mechanical, electronic and electrical engineering systems to generate a simpler, more economical and reliable system.

Mechatronics is designed to prepare students for employment as electrical technicians with emphasis on installation, power distribution, controls, programmable controls, mechanical systems and more. 

The three program pathway levels, with each level building upon the previous -- are eligible for G3 scholarship funding.

Welding

Welding

Welding is a fabrication process where two or more parts are fused together using heat, pressure or both, forming a joint as the parts cool. A career in welding can lead to employment in a variety of different industries. Welding is designed for those pursuing a career as in a variety of industries utilizing welding. Offering day and evening tracks, we have three program levels, with each level building upon the previous. All three levels are eligible for G3 scholarship funding.
