Pre Order Cap and Gown

Below is some important information regarding the academic regalia you will be wearing for graduation:

• Caps, gowns and honor cords will be available to pick up during the Graduation Fair to be held on April 12, 2023.  If you are unable to attend the Graduation Fair, you can come by the Student Services Office in the ISC office to pick them up OR contact the Registrar’s Office to make alternative arrangements (276)739-2461 Registrar@vhcc.edu
   
• There is no charge for caps, gowns, or honor cords.
   
• Graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the end of Fall 2022 will receive an honor cord.  Students receiving a Career Studies Certificate (CSC) are not eligible to wear honor cords.
   
• Graduates who are veterans of the U.S. Military – and active duty service members – will receive a military recognition cord. 

Graduates affiliated with other groups and associations may also receive and wear cords, stoles or medallions (Phi Theta Kappa, Governor’s Scholars, Great Expectations, etc.).  If you are a member of one of these groups, you will receive your special regalia from your advisor.
