How It Started

Virginia employers expressed a need for workers with technical skills requiring post-high school training but not necessarily a four-year degree. VHCC, in partnership with many local organizations, businesses, and individuals, responded by raising money to expand training opportunities for in-demand industry-recognized credentials by building a 20,000+ square foot building, which is the hub for:

  • Workforce training in Welding, Diesel and other technologies
  • Customized business and industry training
  • Business and industry collaboration, retention, and expansion
