Education
A 2010 graduate of Abingdon High School, Adam said he developed an interest in manufacturing from his father, Dennis, who currently serves as Virginia Director of Operations at Strongwell in Bristol. After completing the Engineering program at VHCC, Adam transferred to Virginia Tech, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering in 2015. He also is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
Career
Adam began his career at Bell Helicopter as an industrial engineer in 2015 and worked there just over a year before taking a position at TUG Technologies, where he serves as Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager.
Awards & Personal Life
He and his girlfriend, Laura Couch, live in Atlanta and enjoy watching TV and movies, trail riding in his jeep, and playing with their Shih Tzu, Pebbles. Adam is also working on his cooking skills, which he termed “horrible.” He is the proud uncle to three nephews - Ethan, Austin, and Jaxon - and one niece, Kendall. His mother, Kathy, is also a graduate of VHCC.
